Basic Skills Classes Course – 4 classes – £115 per person

Come along to our Bradford cooking class and learn some basics from our experienced chefs. We will give you the groundwork to expand your culinary skills while making your money stretch further and eat healthier.

 

All ingredients are provided and you will cook a meal to take home with you on the day as well.

 

Starting Tuesday 28th February 2017

 

28th Feb– Knife Skills – Learn the knife skills that will make cooking that much quicker and easier.

In this class we will teach you basic knife skills, which with practice, will help save you time and keep safe in the kitchen. Using these skills we will show and teach you how to cook fajitas with pineapple salsa, pickled red onions and guacamole.

 

7th Mar – Pasta – Learn to make different types of pasta and an array of sauces to go with them.

We will show and teach you how to make pasta dough and then spaghetti with a simple but delicious pesto sauce and a filled ravioli with a traditional Italian pepper sauce.

 

14th Mar – Eggs – Teaching you why eggs are so versatile and cooking some simple but impressive things.

In this class we will show and teach you how to make 2 dishes. One is the king of breakfasts (in our opinion) of eggs Benedict and the other, just to show how flexible eggs are, is a Pavlova.

 

21st Mar – Fish – Some people think cooking fish is difficult, we will show you a masterclass that will make you think otherwise. 

In this class we will show and teach you how to fillet a fish and cook it to perfection. The dish will be pan fried mackerel with braised fennel and a gooseberry sauce.

Students Healthy / Budget Course – 4 classes – £95 per person

Come along to our Bradford class and learn some basics from our experienced chefs to see you through student life. We will teach you how to cook healthier and cheaper, leaving you with more time, energy and money in your pocket.

 

All ingredients are provided and you will cook a meal to take home with you on the day as well.

 

28th Feb – Pasta Dishes – Learn to make different types of pasta and an array of sauces to go with them.

We will show and teach you how to make pasta dough and then spaghetti with a simple but delicious pesto sauce and a filled ravioli with a traditional Italian pepper sauce.

 

7th Mar – Batch Cooking – Cooking larger meals not only saves time but also money. Learn how to do this without compromising on flavour. 

In this class we will show you how to make a traditional curry with accompaniments and a healthy but filling soup. 

The dishes are designed to be able to be portioned and frozen if needed and keep the cost per serving very low.

 

14th Mar – Cheap Cuts – Giving you the knowledge to cook the cheaper cuts of meat which tend to have more flavour as well.

In this class we will show and teach you how to cook the often unduly overlooked but cheaper cuts of meat. Examples of this (dependant on individual requirements) include recipes with skirt steak or lamb neck.

 

21st Mar – Vegetarian – Showing you that vegetarian food is versatile, inexpensive and in the right hands you will happily switch some meat based meals for vegetarian. 

In this class we will show you how to make a superb Vegetable Thai curry with roti.
